Period Power Advocacy Day 2026

Training Sessions M/W beginning on April 20th

Advocacy Day at the NC General Assembly (Raleigh) on Tuesday, May 19th

Join us at the North Carolina General Assembly for a day of advocacy and action! This event is for students who want help raise awareness about period poverty and the need for better access to period supplies. Youth leaders will participate in targeted training sessions in the month leading up to Advocacy Day, working directly with elected officials, lobbyists, and leaders from the National Alliance for Period Supplies to learn:

  • How to craft powerful outreach to policy makers

  • Best practices for both traditional and social media advocacy campaigns

  • Public speaking skills to confidently and effectively engage decision-makers

  • Youth leaders (8th grade - college) that are interested in participating can apply HERE.

Join us for an unforgettable evening in support of Period Power, the Diaper Bank of NC’s initiative to provide essential menstrual products and fight period poverty across our communities.
